Before you write in
Two things make a reply much faster: the email address on your account, and — if it is about one particular book — the link to that book from your dashboard.
A generation failed and I was charged credits
You were not. Credits are reserved before a generation starts and returned automatically if it fails, so a failed page or portrait costs you nothing. The refund appears in your credit history on the Credits page, marked as a refund.
If a generation has been stuck rather than failed — no image and no refund after fifteen minutes — send us the book link and we will look at the job directly.
Billing, plans and cancelling
Your plan, payment method, invoices and cancellation all live in the Stripe billing portal. Open it from the Manage button on the Credits page. Cancelling there stops the next renewal and leaves your subscription running to the end of the period you have already paid for.
Credits you already hold stay in your wallet. Cancelling does not take them away, and they do not expire.
Using your books commercially
The Studio plan includes a commercial licence for the books you create on it. Free, Storyteller and Author are for personal use — printing for your own family, gifts, a classroom. If you want to sell what you make, you need Studio. The full wording is in the terms.
Deleting your account
Email us from the address on the account and we will delete it, along with your books, characters and generated illustrations. This cannot be undone, so export anything you want to keep first — every book has a print-ready PDF export on its Share page.
Reporting content
Books listed in the public library are there because someone chose to list them. If you find something in the library that should not be there, email us with the link and we will take it down while we look at it.
