AI children's book generator: a complete illustrated book from one idea

From one sentence to a finished book
Most AI image tools give you single pictures. This generator makes the whole book. Start with an idea such as “a shy dragon who learns to share her treasure”, choose who it is for, and the story is planned, written page by page and illustrated to match.
The writing follows the reading level you pick, from short, simple lines for toddlers up to longer text for confident middle-grade readers, so the words suit the child who will read them.
Picture books or chapter books
Make a short picture book with an illustration on every page, or a longer chapter book. Choose a starting theme, such as bedtime, space, dinosaurs or a first day at school, or describe something entirely your own.
The same characters on every page
The generator paints each character once, then uses that reference for every scene, so the hero on the cover is recognisably the hero on the last page. How consistent characters work.
You can also put a real child in the story as its hero. Make a story starring your child.
A dozen art styles
Pick the look of the book: watercolour, fairy-tale illustration, line art, manga, anime, pixel art, cinematic and more. The style you choose is used for every page.
Edit it like an author
Nothing is final until you say so. Edit the words on any page, or ask for a single illustration to be redrawn in plain words, without regenerating the rest of the book.

Frequently asked questions
Is the AI children's book generator free?
You can sign up and design characters with free welcome credits. Generating a whole book uses credits: a typical 12-page picture book is about 50. Your first Single book pack is $4.99, and plans start at $14 a month.
Who owns the book I generate?
You do. Scribble Tales claims no ownership of your stories, characters or illustrations, and does not use your books to train models.
Can I sell a book I make?
Books made on the Studio plan come with a commercial licence. The Free, Storyteller and Author plans are for personal use: reading, printing at home, gifts and the classroom. The PDF is not formatted to any particular self-publishing platform's specifications, so check their requirements before you upload.
Do I need writing or design skills?
No. Describe the story in a sentence, pick an age group and an art style, and the generator writes the pages and paints the illustrations. You can then edit any page's words, or ask for an illustration to be redrawn in plain language.
What languages does it write in?
English. Books are written and laid out in English today.
Can you print and post the book to me?
Not yet. You get a print-ready PDF to print at home or with a printer of your choice, plus a link to read the book online.
